How to Add KENO to MetaMask

Complete guide for students to receive and view their KENO tokens

Before You Start

You need MetaMask installed and connected to Binance Smart Chain (BSC). KENO is a BEP-20 token on BSC, so you must be on the correct network to see your tokens.

Copy this address to add KENO to MetaMask:

1Install MetaMask

If you don't have MetaMask installed:

  • Go to metamask.io/download
  • Install the browser extension (Chrome, Firefox, Brave) or mobile app
  • Create a new wallet and save your seed phrase securely!
Never share your seed phrase with anyone! Kenostod staff will never ask for it.

2Add Binance Smart Chain (BSC)

KENO runs on BSC, so you need to add this network to MetaMask:

  • Open MetaMask
  • Click the network dropdown (top of the app)
  • Click "Add Network" or "Add a network manually"
  • Enter these settings:

Network Name: Binance Smart Chain

RPC URL: https://bsc-dataseed.binance.org/

Chain ID: 56

Symbol: BNB

Block Explorer: https://bscscan.com

  • Click "Save" and switch to BSC network

3Import KENO Token

Now add KENO to see your balance:

  • Make sure you're on Binance Smart Chain network
  • Scroll down and click "Import tokens"
  • Select "Custom Token" tab
  • Paste the KENO contract address:

  • Token Symbol should auto-fill as "KENO"
  • Decimals should auto-fill as "18"
  • Click "Add Custom Token" then "Import Tokens"

You should now see KENO in your token list!

4Get Your Wallet Address

You need your MetaMask wallet address to receive KENO:

  • Open MetaMask
  • At the top, you'll see your address starting with 0x...
  • Click on it to copy your full address
  • This is what you'll use when claiming tokens
Important: Your wallet address is NOT the same as the KENO contract address. Use YOUR wallet address (shown at the top of MetaMask) when claiming tokens, not the contract address above.

Frequently Asked Questions

I don't see my KENO balance after claiming +

Check these things:

  • Make sure you're on Binance Smart Chain network (not Ethereum)
  • Verify you've imported the KENO token using the contract address
  • Confirm your claim was approved in the Claim Tokens page
  • Wait a few minutes and refresh MetaMask
I accidentally used the contract address instead of my wallet +

Don't worry! The system now blocks the contract address from being used as a destination. If you submitted a request with the wrong address before this protection was added, contact support at kenostod21@gmail.com for help.

How long does it take to receive tokens? +

After you submit a claim request:

  • Admin review: Usually within 24 hours
  • Token transfer: Instant once approved (BSC is fast!)
  • You'll see tokens in MetaMask immediately after approval
What's the difference between my wallet address and the contract address? +

Your Wallet Address (starts with 0x): This is YOUR personal address where you receive tokens. It's shown at the top of MetaMask.

KENO Contract Address: This is the token's "home" on BSC. You use it to ADD the token to MetaMask so you can SEE your balance. Never send tokens TO this address!

Do I need BNB for gas fees? +

You don't need BNB to RECEIVE tokens - Kenostod pays the gas fees when sending KENO to you.

However, if you want to SEND or TRADE your KENO tokens later, you'll need a small amount of BNB (usually less than $1) for transaction fees.
